At Coopers Edge School, the children have been learning about 'Positive Touch'. This extract is from their class blog.
Y2 Class Blog 2015-2016
* Kingfishers *
Last week the children were introduced to positive touch. This was a great way to introduce when it is appropriate to touch- especially after a few ‘rough’ game choices being made by some members of the class in the last few weeks. The children sat down and had to ask for permission before they could massage their friend. This peer massage approach is very popular with young children and they ALL really enjoyed it. I will upload the weather map for you soon to allow the children to try it on you at home! Here are some pictures of the Kingfishers enjoying their peer massage session.

Sounds like a positive way to teach them, and I look forward to a massage :)

Love that they are doing this, my friend who is a primary teacher used to rave about the positive effects of it. Amelia was telling me about it last week

This looks fab, I bet it would be great to use it on a regular basis.
