Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service

About

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service aims to provide the highest standard of community safety and emergency response services to the communities of Gloucestershire. Their mission is 'working together for a safer Gloucestershire'.

The Fire and Rescue Service operates with four key aims:

Schools and Education

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service offer visits to FS and KS1 classes and preschools in the Gloucestershire County Council area. Nurseries which will be open during the summer holidays are asked pleased to request a visit from outside of term time (ie, from 26th July).

Visit the Skillzone webpage for more information, and details of how to request a visit from the Fire and Rescue Service.

Road Safety

The injury and collision data for young and inexperienced drivers remains an area for concern. The downward trend in fatalities has started to slow,  and recently qualified young drivers have the highest rates of both hospital admissions and police reported incidents.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service have produced a collection of posters for use in 6th form rooms and colleges to promote awareness of the dangers of speeding.

View and download the posters here.
