Human Resources -

Human resources is a traded service that can be purchased by any school or educational setting. The HR service can offer advice and guidance to Head teachers, School Business Managers and Chair of Governors. HR can support on a wide range of employee and employment topics.

What does this handbook cover?

This Employment Handbook contains model policies and guidance for employee management. You can use the policy as it stands or, in some cases, you might need to adapt the policy to fit your school's particular circumstances.

Who is this handbook for?

Our policies are suitable for all schools including academies (where terms are optional for academies this is indicated). They incorporate employment best practice with appropriate legislation and Local Authority collective agreements. If you need further advice, please contact the HR Advice Line to speak to an experienced HR Adviser, open from 8:30-17:00 Monday to Friday. Urgent matters, such as new cases of gross misconduct and potential suspensions, should be dealt with over the phone. We will reply to urgent matters raised via email within 24 hours (exceptional circumstances apply). Our advice service is consistent with best practice and legislation. If your query is not a HR matter we will signpost you to the information you need. The advice we offer is in line with our Employment Handbook, so make sure you check here first before contacting us! Call 01452 425888 followed by option 2 then 4 to reach our team.
