Returning to School

This comprehensive document from The Royal Marsden is a teachers' guide for pupils with brain tumours, during and after treatment. This third edition and revised publication has been developed in a partnership between the Royal Marsden’s Children and Young People Unit and the children’s charity Cerebra. Both organisations are dedicated to the welfare of all children and young people diagnosed with a brain tumour. They both understand the importance of a pupil’s well supported inclusion in school life and successful education.

The Little Brains Trust have a range of advice and guidance on their website for parents and professionals.  From support when parents suspect their child may have a brain tumour to facing a Brain Tumour diagnosis they have lots of information of supporting you, treatment and living with a brain tumour as well as resources to use.

Cerebra: Working Wonder for Children with Brain Conditions

Cerebra is a charity that helps children and young people with brain conditions that result in complex medical, educational and social support needs. Their website offers advice and support to families on a range of topics such as DLA, accessing public services, Sleep, Understanding their childs condition, family wellbeing and education and transport.
