Glosfamilies Directory



The Glosfamilies Directory website offers a wide range of resources and information to support families, carers, children and young people from 0 - 19 years of age (25 for young people with additional needs). This includes information on finding and choosing childcare, such as local day nurseries, playgroups, childminders, children's centres, out of school clubs and holiday playschemes.

They can also provide information on family support, tax credits, benefits, funding, and more.

SEND Local Offer

The SEND Local Offer is a central source of information on services for children and young people aged 0 - 25 years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families in Gloucester.  It includes specialist activities and support.

Information, Training and Resources for Practitioners

The Information for Practitioners webpage provides a centralised point of reference for professionals. This section has been designed to support work with families to ensure that practitioners have the most current information.

A Parent Relatonships Matter Programme is available to help practitioners support adults experiencing inter-parental conflict, in order to minimise consequential negative and long-lasting implications on children and young people in the family. The programme covers: 

  1. Defining parental relationships

  2. The impact of delayed conflict resolution 

  3. Distinguishing between conflict and domestic abuse

  4. Why or when to get involved with other people's relationships

  5. How to talk to parents' about their relationship
