About Us

Gloucestershire Constabulary - YEOs

Children and young people across Gloucestershire who are involved in criminality, or at risk of becoming involved, will now be supported by dedicated Youth Engagement Officers (YEOs).

The new YEOs (formerly known as School Beat officers) will work closely with partners working in the health, social care and education sectors to divert young people away from offending and to ensure any help they need is provided by the appropriate organisation.

In addition to working more closely with partners, the YEOs will also deliver inputs to primary, secondary, SEN / Alternative Provision settings.

The current offer is:

Year 6 – Online Safety

Year 7 – Grooming & Exploitation

Year 8 – Knife Crime

Year 9 – County Lines

 

There will be six YEOs – a police constable for each of our policing districts :
